Re: Windows 8

It would be nice if Microsoft gave people want they want, and not what it thinks they need, then maybe they wouldn't find the need to do this.

Micro$oft has a long history of producing duds (DOS4, ME, Vista, Office 2007 etc) but Windows 8 is a real dog. It was inevitable they would have to improve it (anybody want to bet that the Start Button will return?).

This probably shows how much effort MS put into trying to find out what people want from an operating system. I guess they just dream up ideas without trying them out. The rumour is the update, which is being called Windows 8.1, will reintroduce the Start button.

Personally, I'll stick to Windows 7.

I don't know what all the fuss is about. I've not had much trouble with it myself. It runs my applications, games, browser and e-mail program fine. Just a different screen used for starting them up.
