New arrival on the way

We have just had a telephone call to say that my daughter-in-law is in labour. They have been up to the hospital and she has had a sweep and she is about 3cms dilated. She has now been sent home and she has to go back when her contractions are stronger and closer together, or if the waters break. Hopefully it won't be too long and the baby will be here in the early hours of Thursday. We now have to go over and bring our grand daugter back to have a sleepover. Exciting, but also a bit of a worry until it is all over and mother and baby are both safe.

Re: New arrival on the way

Update.
Thankfully she has just gone into hospital. Phew!!! - so she should be OK now - no mdinight run. Contractions are every minute and a half, so hopefully it shouldn't be too long. I'm hoping before midnight because 6th March was my dad's birthday and that would be nice. Anyway, what will be will be.

How lovely Rena, with those contractions it's possible baby will be born on your Dad's birthday isn't it?. I do hope so. I hope it all goes well.
