Re: Spring

On my walks with the dogs, I've noticed the trees are budding which is always a nice sign. The miniature daffs I have around the fountain are in flower as are some of the other bedding plants in that area; it's all starting to look very nice again. Spring is my favourite time of the year.

Re: Spring

Yesterday was definitely Spring round here. For the first time in about 8 months we sat on the decking with cups of tea and listened to the birds singing. It was a lovely warm, sunny Spring day. Not so good today though - I think we'll have some light rain later.

Re: Spring

I drive into town to get a newspaper at about 5.15am and this morning the dawn chorus was in full flow when I went out.

Re: Spring

It does boost folk up when it feels like Spring! Not up here though today - back to very cold and wee toty drops of rain!!

Still can't complain, we've had some really lovely weather here. My friend's dafs are nearly showing. Her snowdrops are lovely and there are loads more that have buds on them, but I don't remember what they are called!!

Re: Spring

Living in the North we are about 3 weeks behind for Spring, i was at the coast yesterday, the sun was out but still very cold, a couple of Skylarks were half heartedly trying to sing, however both Swallow and Sandwich tern have been reported in the South so its coming.

Re: Spring

We were able to sit in the garden yesterday but gosh... what a change today! It's back to cold and miserable again.
