Navel Maneuvers.

Earlier this evening when I was having a shower I noticed my navel, it's a part of the body I never pay any attention to normally, just a quick clean out with a wet cloth and my little finger every time I'm in the shower, I find the little finger goes in further than any other finger, therefore doing a better job of clearing out anything that may have made it's way there in the course of time. Anyway to get to my point, I have discovered to my horror that the 'Hole' is getting deeper and it's getting tougher to get right inside, I thought of filing my finger to a point, no too painful and them cotton buds are dangerous, what if the stick on one breaks and lodges in my navel, will I require surgery to remove it?, I've never been this age before so is it usual for a navel to get deeper?, any advice welcome, I needn't tell you I feel like a right umbicile.

Jimmy what a terrible worry for you
I'd need to have a good think about this ... hubby suggested filling the hole with polyfilla, or a tube of mastic - they have a pointed end which would go quite deep
(he has a similar problem, his little finger is going further up his nose now!)

I would be very concerned if I were you Jem. It sounds like you are disappearing inside yourself.

Re: Navel Maneuvers.

Jem, I was distressed to see of your navel problem. I see no reason to not be frank with you. The plain truth of the matter is this. I have consulted my Rogets Thesaurus, My Funk & Wagnells dictionary ( shortened version) and my 1940 copy of “Family Doctor”.

Jem , dear boy I’m sorry to have to tell you that you are gradually imploding. This means that you are collapsing inwardly.
All is not lost, though. One well documented cause of human implosion is dehydration, so sufferers of this complaint cope best by consuming large quantities of liquid, alcohol is fine.

Exercise is to be avoided for as people with this complaint tend to shrink, building up of the muscles results in hard flaps of skin in awkward places, best to let it all sag.

Finally, eat as much as you like, it will raise the internal body mass pressure & delay the effects of implosion.

.Hope this helps

If that is true then he needs to stop poking his finger in there - I've played with those tubs of gunk you can plunge your finger and the gunk holds on tight! What if he can't get his finger back out again? Could he drive to A&E with one hand? should he only poke with the hand he uses the least?

This is very worrying
