RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

http://www.rspb.org.uk/birdwatch/?gc...FWbKtAod_hAAmw

My husband enjoyed doing it for an hour before lunch today. Have others done theirs?

Re: RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

In our garden we have mainly blue, great and long tailed tits, bullfinches, blackbirds, robins, sparrows, starlings, pigeons, magpies and thrushes. Occasionally we get a sparrow hawk landing on the roof of the bird table.

Re: RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

I can't see what birds are in my garden - I live in a flat and although I have a garden, I miss the birds in it! Saw a Field Fare (I think that's what it's called): I am a member of the RSPB as well What I can see in my garden are loads of seagulls, blackbirds, magpies. I don't see many small birds though!

You have a lovely lot of birds visiting you, Willow!!

Hi Willow, I have done my Birdwatch and have sent off my results today. I have had quite a few birds.

Re: RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

As a member of RSGB I am ashamed to say I had forgot all about it which is strange when I spend so much time watching the birds in my garden.
My visitors range from Goldcrest, blackbirds, Robins, Starlings, Sparrows, Blue tits, Gt. tits, Pied wagtails, collared doves, Jays, Magpies and the odd seagull overhead. Apologies RSGB!

PS and last year a flock of waxwings.

Re: RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

Sod's law, all the interesting birds stayed away whilst my husband was doing the birdwatch. Yesterday a sparrow hawk favoured us with its presence.

Re: RSPB Big Garden Birdwatch

The only birds I ever see anywhere near my 'pad' are shitehawks (Herring gulls) who manage to crap all down my windows!!!
