Very Sad News

I know we all like to have a moan, whether it be about the weather, or our meds, or our general health, but imagine this.

Last Monday I went to work and was told that one of our apprentices had gone into a skid on some ice. His car hit a tree, bounced off back onto the road, and a large vehicle smashed into him.

Result - he has had to have his left leg amputated above the knee.

He is just 17 years old.

I guess it puts our aches and pains into perspective.

It does Mollie. To have such a thing happen at any age is bad enough but to happen so early in your life is doubly hard.

It certainly does, Mollie. How sad. Just hope he will come to accept it - he is so young. I am sure he will get loads of help to come to terms with it. Sending healing thoughts to him.

So sorry to hear this Mollie. The only advantage is, he has youth on his side and he will get over it...like a young man I know, who lost his foot, he now proudly shows it off
