Initials invite intrigue

Initials Invite Intrigue

JK Rowling, ER Tolkein, HG Wells, what have they in common. Quite a lot. They are classy writers, excel at fantasy, gifted in their visions and dreams of other times & places..Why so coy about their forenames.? (oops, nearly put Christian names).
Still wackier are those known only by their initials, LBJ, BB, MM, KFC, to name just a few.I've no idea why this happens, vanity I guess.

What's wrong with "Christian Name"?

I have never really liked using initials for somebodies name but then again I suppose some names aren't "catchy" enough to be memorable without the use of initials.

One such example (or in my mind anyway) would be kd lang. If she'd called herself Kathryn Lang I don't think she'd have been so popular - but maybe that's just me.

I don't see there is a problem using one's initials, which I do quite frequently.

One set of initials that springs to mind for you is "BS".
