Happy Monday Folk.

[IMG][IMG]
[/IMG][Taken at lake Schliersee in Bavaria, Germany. We had another couple of inches of snow yesterday. Sheila's getting to be like a caged tigress because we can't get out for a walk. Maybe when our recently ordered grippers arrive we'll give them a try.

Re: Happy Monday Folk.

Morning Alan and all else who call in later...

Still snowing heavily with around 4" overnight and no let up in sight. It's a nightmare continually drying the dogs when they come in as the snow forms miniature snowballs and sticks to their fur like mud on a blanket..

No plans other than stew and dumplings for lunch and staying by the fire watching the blizzards, although if it stops we need to knock some snow off some of the shrubs, as they are getting weighed down with the stuff and are likely to break...

Try to enjoy your day folks and hey, let's be careful out there...

Good Morning Folk Well shock and horror - we had a little snow which lay on the ground and has turned to ice! Snowed again but it was "wet" snow and hasn't lain on the ground!

Beautiful photo today, Alan, thanks for sharing

Hope everyone will enjoy a good day today.

Take care and stay safe

Good morning everyone. Good job I have a pair of Boots fit for walking. Off out in a minute to feed the birds. Missed it yesterday but they have been fed everyday for over a week. Anyone got lots of birthdays this month? I have and had to write out and will send 10 of them
Put second class stamps on most of them but have two for abroad
so more expense.
Have a nice day everyone

Re: Happy Monday Folk.

Good morning fellow members cold and grey again here.

My TV went off yesterday , a message said 'no signal' so I pulled out the aerial from the recorder and water ran out which was a bit scary .
Have Googled it and apparently this is quite a common problem. Connections now dried out with the use of the hair dryer and recorder box raised to prevent the water running into the back though the cable is now disconnected unless in use . I think my 40 year old aerial cable may need replacing so am waiting for 'a man' to ring.

I am now heartily sick of the snow as is Chloe. Thank goodness I stocked up well with provisions so have lots of food and the milkman still gets through in his little lorry.
I haven't seen a postman delivering since Thursday and when I posted a letter yesterday in the box by the church there had been no collection since Thursday either.

Roll on spring. I think I will go and make some bread to cheer things up .

Stay safe everyone.

Re: Happy Monday Folk.

Good morning folks!

It did snow in the wee small hours last night/this morning and as expected the roads in my village have not been gritted what so ever.

Luckily I had new tyres fitted to the Peugeot last year and she managed out alright, just a couple of wee judders going up the hill to get to the shop for the papers.

I have told the wife to take it easy driving today as she usually just floors the accelerator and hopes for the best but it seems my words have fallen of deaf ears as I could hear the engine roaring and wheels spinning as she drove off this morning.

Women!!

Anyway, before I say any more and offend the female population of this forum, I shall pour another cup of coffee then head out to the Pound Shop in the local town 5 miles away and stock up on some things.

Have a good... Whatever day it is!

Re: Happy Monday Folk.

Good morning/afternoon all the snow is slowly thawing here but we have more forecast for tonight.

Managed to get to the Health Centre this morning and take my final BP reading, have handed the results into Reception to pass on to my doctor ..... now I await a phone call from him as to what happens next.

Called into Sainsburys' on the way home and managed to stock up on some fresh veg for the next couple of days.

Stay warm and safe everyone.
