Kate's Portrait

What do you all think. I think it makes her look older and doesn't flatter her a bit. She is far more attractive than portrayed.

I think it looks lob-sided.

Re: Kate's Portrait

I agree it does not do her justice at all.

I don't think it does her justice either.

Re: Kate's Portrait

I don't think a lot of the painting either. She is a pretty lady but all I see is very tired looking eyes which make her look older than she is.

Re: Kate's Portrait

That artist should be sacked.

I had a portrait done of myself in 1980 which is in my cupboard just now and will be given to my daughter in my Will (lucky girl) and it looks a hell of a lot better than that - even though I'm the subject

Re: Kate's Portrait

I sometimes wonder what is to be gained from a portrait if it is done mainly from a photo as this one was. Why not just stick with the photo? A painted portrait should bring out more of the person's character than a photo does and I'm not sure this one does.

Re: Kate's Portrait

If it looks like a photo then it might as well be a photo, why bother painting it? To me the picture is a good likeness but really very dull and uninteresting....

Re: Kate's Portrait

Another portrait of someone royal? Yawn... I think a nude would have been much more interesting, more appropriate and certainly more popular.

Re: Kate's Portrait

I don't think the portrait did Kate justice, she is so much more beautiful in looks and character than that ghastly woman Diana.
