1 Billion.

This is what 1 Billion dollars looks like in reality, it's all in used $100 dollar bills, I suppose it would look the same in 100 bills of pounds or euros. The way they casually talk about it nowadays you'd easily know the don't have to lump it around with them, maybe they should make some of the disgraced bankers pull a pallet each for 3 miles to teach them the value of other peoples money.

Looking at that pile, I can't help thinking what a martian would make of all the effort & suffering that goes into the amassing of what is basically a pile of paper.

I believe , judging by the slightly untidy state of the nearest pallet, that some pilferage has taken place.

Re: 1 Billion.

Someone else suggested the same thing Robert, they had to remove a couple of wads alright, but it was to make up the exact amount, so I read. The State Pilers (if that's what you call them) are all hand picked people and theft is a word unknown to them. I Wonder what an assembler of used notes would put down as his occupation?

Re: 1 Billion.

So if £1 equals almost $2 how many pallets would we need?
Ahh but we don't have £100 notes

We always had them over here Janela, even before we parted with Sterling, I remember very distinctly as it was the first time I ever had one, on the day I was married in 1965, I used it to pay the hotel reception bill and got plenty of change too!, God be with the days.

Re: 1 Billion.

Oddly, there was a printed sign in Greggs bakers in our town, that said £100 and £50 notes were not accepted
They don't accept any 'foreign' currency anyway!
