Job search ..now desperate ..lol
Last week I applied for 5 Jobs. I Job I saw I recognised as being advertised before so I applied for it again, in fact I threw caution to the wind and applied 3 times on 3 different agency websites....On one site which is a agency I decided to re-write my Cover letter. I used a little bit of psychology, to install a "begging" element to it....I know for a fact am definitely OVER qualified for this Job but I have got considerable experience in it as i used to do it 30 years ago ...well something has worked as I have today had a phone call at 9am from the agency who asked a few questions...The first question being "why do you want this Job because you are considerably "OVER QUALIFIED"...at least I had the chance to try and convince them i was genuine.....So I got through stage 1 they ARE recommending me for a interview...
I am sure you will get a positive response eventually..

I don't like the phrase "over-qualified". I rather think folks like you and I are "well-qualified" and bring to the table a well-practiced skill set, sound judgement, and a responsible work ethic that many younger candidates have yet to develop.Some employers worry that an "over-qualified" employee will keep looking for a better job. If you can convince them that you're a good match and looking to stay for the long haul they'd be wise to bring you on board.
