Tubingen and the river Neckar in Germany where my son lives. Sheila's off out trawling the shops with her friend this morning while I slave away over a hot stove preparing "spag bol" for lunch and leek soup for tea...........it's a hard life !

Dry but very cold today, Mother Natures creatures are desperately looking for food and taking it to somewhere warmer(if there is such a place).


Plans for today are to clean my study, well it is Friday, finish the study design for my Grand Daughter, have lunch at home, Chips Fish and Mushy peas for me, not sure what 'She who must be obeyed will have as she is under the weather, full of cold and shivering, and then spend the afternoon relaxing and looking to the needs of SWMBO.

Good morning all lovely sunny morning here with a nip in the air.

We have our grandchildren visiting today. I will be guiding young Katie through the mixing and baking of her first Christmas cake as a surprise for her Mum, she's very excited about it!

Bob, sorry to hear your wife isn't too well today, I hope she feels better soon.

Morning everyone, sunny and cold here this morning, a typical autumn morning in fact...

Back from Tesco and enjoying a steaming cappucino before I go and bake some mince pies for our visitors this afternoon. The driveway is to sweep again but at least it is fresh air and exercise so not all bad really.

Hope Mrs AB improves as the day progresses Bob...

Good morning. Sunny but cold here too.
The bird feeders are full of birds this morning..can visibly see the seed going down!
The woodpigeons are making the most of all the bits falling to the ground.
Two nice photos and good links, (tho' I'm not an Elvis fan ) thanks.
Going to make bread and butter pudding this morning. Then off into the garden for some more tidying - dahlias need cutting down after the frost got to them..shame really 'cos they have lots of buds..but I'll cut off the flowers for a vase full.

Good morning fellow members I am pleased to say it has brightened up a little here though it is quite cold.
Shopping done and put away washing on the line I an now thinking of lunch, boiled eggs and soldiers I think.

AB I hope Mrs AB is better soon .
