What are you driving?

Me - 1994 Peugeot 405 GLX 1.9TD (bought new) & 1999 Rover 820i
Wife - 1991 Rover 827 SLi 2.7 V6

We have both owned new cars but prefer our oldies and with good maintenance they can be in brand new condition (as ours are) and run like brand new also.

We have one car, a Golf tsi, Estate - bought as a 6 week old demonstrator and just coming up to 3 years old.
Husband doesn't drive these days, so I drive us.

Depends on who's Motor I'm using. If it's The Laird's then a Landrover.....If it's mine then a VW Passate Estate.

The wife completely mad.
Seriously we no longer have a car, I gave it to my son and now use the buses.

Re: What are you driving?

I couldn't imagine not having a vehicle, I've always had a car of some sorts since I passed my test in '69 and drive almost every day.

If I couldn't drive I think I'd crack up! Though one day I probably will have to stop driving though, especially if my arthritis keeps getting worse.

Re: What are you driving?

Renault Megan Scenic, automatic. Bought new in 2002 still in very good condition too. We don't do many miles now, and dwindling with the years.
I've never been without a car either, since passing my test in 1964.
When the children came along, we had two cars.
After hubby's back op, he wasn't allowed to drive anymore, so I drive us too
This is my first automatic, which hubby suggested, because of my cellulitis... I like it.

Re: What are you driving?

I am like OB, never been without one since I passed my test in 1958. OK they were old bangers which I used to mess around with to make them run better but I would go mad using public transport.

At the moment it is a Kia Ce'ed diesel which I got for a song, £12345 brand new, should have been £15759. Mind you I have never paid full price for any vehicle I have had, motor bikes included.

Re: What are you driving?

We have a Nissan x Trail diesel automatic, a big car but which we need for towing the caravan. We have had automatics for donkey's years, I could never see the fascination with changing gears....
