At least i can go on pages without listening to ads for laxatives especially when eating my dinner....

Oh is that what cookies are I keep watching them instead of what I wanted to watch. I saw one on a women's health page and thought I'd accidently gone on a porn channel (it was a video) I had to grab all my inhalers and my GTN spray, bleddy hell.

Re: Damb cookies

I could be wrong, but I'm not sure this is to do with cookies. Cookies are bits of information about your preferences saved onto your computer. Those videos will still play if you don't store cookies.

Re: Damb cookies

I had a problem with cookies yesterday. It started at the end of last week when I found out that Webshots are closing down. I needed to move my photographs to my Photobucket account. I moved from Facebook without any problems. I also decided to clean up my P/B account. I was doing that when I got an error message. A quick google around, gave me the answer to delete cookies. I've had no problems after doing that and my P/B account is back to normal now.

This is brilliant I don't understand most of it, but it's giving me a clue. Oh I didn't stop at cookies I was looking at the rest of it. I wondered why they kept putting the codes on to check if I was a robot. Putting this in my worth keeping file to mull over on a cold, dark, winter's day.

Re: Damb cookies

I don't think the adverts would be anything to do with cookies. I wonder:

* What browser are you using?

* Are the adverts in separate pop-up windows, or are they part of the page that is being viewed?

* Have you got an ad-blocker in place?

* Do you scan the computer for malware from time to time. If so, what program(s) do you use?
