Where were you when George VI died?

I was in my parent's kitchen in Leckhampton (Cheltenham) listening to the radio and I can remember the one minutes silence very vividly. The only other memory I have is the coronation celebrations and a roast Ox in Pitville Park with a parade where a tank went passed chewing up the road surface.

That was great. I saw so many other faces as she grew up.. first I saw Princess Margaret then Princess Ann then Zara and finally the Queen mother
