San Miguel de Salinas

I haven't been around much the past weeks and I see there are some really nice photos on this thread. Tonight we went into our little local town to watch a procession, which didn't actually take place. What we did see should have actually taken place last night but we had such torrential rain yesterday it was cancelled and took place tonight instead. Perhaps the main procession will take place tomorrow, weather depending of course.

This was the sky as we parked the car.

The palm trees in the little church square

One of the two religious statues being carried out of the church to be paraded around the town, accompanied by bands, various dignitaries etc.

Lovely photos, Loretta It must be wonderful having the opportunity to see the many processions that take place in Spain.

Re: San Miguel de Salinas

Thank you all. The weather hasn't really been too bad here (so far). We had torrential rain late Friday afternoon, the usual bits flooded but so far that has been all. Southern Spain, Malaga, Almeria and around there it has been horrendous, 10 people dead so far, bridges washed away, cars washed away, really dreadful. By Saturday we were back to very warm sunshine with some big black clouds at times and we were forecast more heavy rain today, but as yet it hasn't happened, it's been a lovely day.
