Duane Eddie was a favourite from my era as well Jemflux. I loved the rich sound of his "boozy" guitar - if you know what I mean, although I don't think he had the technical finesse that Bert Weedon had. Ah! happy days. Like a lot of young folks we had a group in the 60's and played the clubs, pubs and seaside resorts - my first husband was lead singer. Never reached any heights of fame or riches, but oh boy didn't we have a good time.

I also learned to play guitar (very badly) until my finger ends bled like raw hamburger meat. Still can't play very well, but how hard I tried.

My late partner's brother John was/is a brilliant guitarist and I've always respected anyone who can play good an instrument, as part of their soul belongs to it. He used to play the Shadows lead guitar tunes with the most excellence.
