They can't hurt you Mups!
Good for spells!
I didn't have any "life models" so had to improvise!

Re: I've started drawing again!

I watched an artist at work some time ago. I asked him what he was drawing and he said "A horse and cart"

So I replied " I can see the horse but not the cart"

"No you won't" said the artist "The horse has to draw that"

Smashing drawing Tessa, personally I suffer from the "complete lack of talent" gene, so I am actually insanely jealous....

Re: I've started drawing again!

Im suprised you stopped, im nowhere near the quality of your work, and found pastels and charcoal to be a nightmare medium to work in.

Re: I've started drawing again!

You've got to get your fingers in there Nom, move it about a bit, that's the secret and layers, dark to light not like watercolour where you put light on first.
I bet I could teach you! You've already got good skills with pencils and paint!
Charcoal, fingers and an eraser, simplest way to draw!
Pastels are easier than paint, the only trouble is keeping them afterwards, spraying can remove some of the details.
Fingers aching like hell s'mornin'!
