I use FaceTime on the iPad.
The first time I tried the iPad phone thingie, it was a shock.
I was in bed chatting on messenger and when the iPad started ringing I went into panic mode and thought I could be seen !

You dont have to put the camera on Facetime .
If you do be warned its not always the most flattering .
Sometimes the colour is off.

Blimey he is at it again I work, I do many other things I can't be here 24/7 even if I am more prolific than others I still step away from the screen at times.

I think you just prod the video camera 'line drawing' on the iPad ... next to the phone receiver pic
