I am an Expert Witness in matters which are prejudicial or injurious to health as defined in our Environmental Protection Law.

This covers things from a lack of heating or mould in a rented house to big steelworks or oil refineries pumping pollution into the air or water supplies.

I can prepare and serve legal notices on behalf of the small guy against the big guy.

Under UK Law, the big guy has to respond by employing someone with the same or better qualifications than I have.

This costs them money, so often they back off.

The amusing thing is this.

I was what you would call a Fed, they paid for all my training and then paid me for training others.

They are some what in a mess when they take me on because they have used me as the Expert.

I have won over 400 Cases, lost two.

I have two brilliant ex employees I have trained.

They are better than me, fortunately we agree on things.

We have a very independant Judiciary here, they are not Political Appointments.

Things do not always go according to plan.

I have had some big put downs.

The most memorable one being

"In this instance, Mr X is less wrong than the other Parties involved"

A win, but a kick in the teeth.
Most interesting and quite a record you have there! What an extraordinarily comprehensive organization, unmatched by anything we have here. I've similiarly volunteered as a financial advisor for young people who have found themseleves in dire straights, but certainly not to your level of expertise, and for an independent organization for people in need. I would think this would be a service most appreciated no matter where you decide to live.

Hi

There is no great skill or ability required to win cases on an evidential basis.

All that is required is that you do the boring scientific bits correctly.

I am a very boring person.

Hi SM I usually go every summer with the family but we missed last year with the new twins arriving.
I would just like to get up every day to the sound of the sea

Twins how lovely. I have grown identical twin boys.
I love Twins, are they male or female or one of each?
Forget the gender stuff, let us stick with what we have always said.

Re: Would you move house?

Hi

Off topic, but fun.

When I lived in East Anglia one of my neighbours was an American.

A lovely man, we fished together and our wives were friends.

His wife became pregnant, twin girls.

They got pregnant again, two years later, he wanted a boy.

She had triplets, all girls.

How lovely.
I am trying to marry mine off, or even sell them.
I told a young lady she could have one for 2 camels and a donkey. My son was NOT amused.
