I must confess to being a pedant, though I try not to be publicly.

However, I really have to bite my tongue (or, more pedantically, fingers) when I see such things as errant apostrophes and glaring misspellings.

Seriously, I think that pointing out mistakes - even if the intention is to be helpful - is usually not well received.

Pedantry can be very irritating indeed. Since my husband's illness which trashed half his brain he has turned into a bit of a pedant!
