I refer, of course, to the hair on their heads.

Re: A Close Shave

I grew a beard when I was 19, my first wife never knew me without one. In the 1980s I had a job which involved wearing breathing apparatus occasionally and the beard spoilt the facemask seal so I shaved the beard off.

My second wife never saw me with a beard though I would often go many days without shaving and she would comment, "You look like a beggar".

When I divorced her I grew a beard again and haven't shaved since - I use clippers to keep it in check. It varies in length from about 10mm to 150mm depending on a whim.

I couldn't grow a beard even if I tried, on the rare occasion that I did, it's like Worzel Gummage meets Fu Manchu....

Come to think of it, you don't see many American Indians with beards, and I've watched a lot of westerns....

It is true, Foxie. And for all their bare chests and leather fringed bottoms, you never see hair on their chests! It's in their ..... genes.
Something to be said for that.

Thanks for that Right Now, I thought it couldn't be a slip up in the research by the film makers, I have seen too many westerns....

I think I might be a descendant, bare chest and leather fringed bottoms sounds a lot like my usual attire...
