I've been to Wells too. Wonder if we stood next to each other in the chip shop.

I can't remember the exact years when my friend was working there, it was a long time ago though.
You'd have probably liked him. He was licenced to breed owls, and the local vets used to send people to him with injured birds. Lovely bloke, Pete.

Back in the 70's I had an aged pony, who I loved very much. When his time came to depart from this world I was heartbroken.
My husband at the time wouldn't help, so it was Pete, my friend's husband, who came over to help me when the vet arrived. I have never forgotten his kindness when I was struggling to cope.
I used to do dog training with his wife, yonks ago too, and we are still friends today.
