I too, unplug the telly, the phone, and the computer if there are storms about.
Someone once told me that if the power goes off, then comes back, the power surge can mess up your p.c. so I don't take chances.
I no longer have a TV aerial to unplug - but I do switch off/unplug the DVD monitor, and the PC - even though it has a 'surge protection' socket. Can't really unplug the 'phone or I would lose all my stored numbers - but I do not answer it if there is lightning about!

I loved your story, ST. It was one of those ‘You Couldn’t Make It Up’ stories!

We have had no rain here at all, just a few drops and that’s it!

I think I’d need a cold shower after doing battle in Asda, although I’d wait till I got home,

Galty - I did tell it go to Essex, honest - but I don't think it is listening!

Jazzi - is your Westie OK with storms? My little friend is terrified of them.
She was completely unfazed by it, ST, and was very good, even lying outside during some of it. I DID shut my door when we had an enormous clap overhead. During some of the noise I played ball with her, to keep things normal and stress free, and she was happy enough.

We have a very chilly wind this morning and she still wants the door open so she can lie over the threshold seeing what’s going on outside. Personally I’d prefer it shut.

She made me laugh yesterday. Took her outside to have a wee in the communal gardens and it was raining, so she bolted back to our front door without going. Yet later, she was lying out in it. (And digging a hole in the wet earth, earning her a late shower and wash.)
