I can't have a nap in the afternoon, I'd never get to sleep at night. Bad enough trying to get to sleep then as it is.

How very encouraging!

I have always (for as long as I remember) had a 'siesta'. When I was working, it would be when I got home. Now I'm retired, it can be whenever I feel like some shut-eye.

I never set any sort of alarm but, coincidentally with the numbers in your quote, my nap usually extends to about 75 minutes. That seems to be what my body naturally needs.

My wife speaks derisively about my 'siestas'. If she has one, it is usually for 20 minutes or less.

I think I should show her this post!
