Ej Amazon surely isn't going to drop the packages from 400 feet are they so will have to come to ground and may need to do so gradually to avoid tall obstacles.

That's correct Meg. When they arrive at the destination, they will slowly descend to the drop zone. It is now possible for them to be programed to avoid obstacles. Clever technology.
They can be trained better than postmen.
