Re: Patriotic.
I am extremely patriotic and proud to be an American. I am the first to criticize our flaws, such as our healthcare system and former pres "Dubya" Bush, (He didn't get my vote for sure!)
However, so many times I have seen my fellow countrymen stand shoulder to shoulder when someone falls and unite in brotherhood to help them rise up again. You need look no further back in time than 9/11 or the Boston Marathon for examples.
I always feel the tightening of my throat when I hear the Star Spangled Banner, or when I see the statue of liberty waving her beacon in the harbor.
Whatever country you hail from, I'm sure most of us feel there is no place like home.
