I like that.
I think that if you really make an effort to know people, then you often find they open up and you get on well with them. I'm always being told I "like" everyone. It's not that I like everyone, it's that I've been friendly to them and they have returned their friendship. Most people have something nice about their personalities. Some people prefer one to one conversation which make some people think they are anti social or shy. Some people are extroverts who need the attention of the whole room. I take as I find. Now if it were someone I'd heard of who was capable of any kind of abuse, then that would be a different story. I'd probably instantly dislike them.

I believe it was Peter Sellars who is reputed to have replied something like this to the question `Why have you taken an instant dislike to me?`
