Yep - the bags for life are very good quality and last a long time .....
I agree - they should not sell the plastic ones, makes sense .....

Have to say also, the money paid 5p per bag, will go to environmental charities ..... Also - people may be more careful in future with the bags, as they are paying for them ...

What's wrong with buying a couple of good strong canvas shopping bags such as folk used to use years ago before plastic bags. Anyone remember the string bags from yonks ago? They were good too and you could slip one in your handbag even, should you need it.

Yep - we have a canvas bag to tote bottles and jars in for recycling ....
There is solutions out there .....

I wholeheartedly agree with the charge for plastic bags - as has been mentioned, they're a hazard to man and beast.

My main issue, is that I have five or six 'friendly' bags in the boot of the car, but I often forget to take them to the supermarket - result - plastic bag! Sound familiar ?

Maybe this latest idea will force my brain cells to work.........
