Re: Do you buy Christmas presents for yourself?

I always buy something for 'the house' - last year it was a new blender, this year will be new baking tins - but I do rather like Carol's idea. Maybe I will squirrel away a book or two!

The cats are generous - they usually buy me a big bottle of Irish Whiskey!!

Do you buy Christmas presents for yourself?

Yes, all year round but not necessarily at Christmas time.

It's never occurred to me to do that, I just love seeing them open their pressies that's present enough to me. Mind I do pressies from the dogs each year, I assume my husband buys them as I can't see any of them managing money in any meaningful way, although Elsie can count to six !

I think everybody should treat themselves.

If you see something you want but having second thoughts because you don't really need it, just buy it yourself for Christmas - no recriminations.

I'm not big on things though carol and we are far more focused on making families life better, growing kids need shoes and things we don't grow so ours wait until they wear out then they become a necessity.

Re: Do you buy Christmas presents for yourself?

Last year my presents to myself were as mentioned...

A new CD of Andrea Bocelli and Enya, and a book

I'll have a look about for something for this year...

No I never buy Christmas presents for myself, I can’t see the point. . We always have a second ‘Christmas’ dinner on New Year’s Day when my family come here for the day and I always buy an extra little present for them to open on the tree. I never buy one for myself though but someone has got wise to it now and I find a secret someone has always sneaked a present on there anonomously for me

I think so too. If you're not treated enough by others, go to DIY.

Yes I understand family happiness comes first Julie but you of all people deserve a treat.
A book - perfume - ticket for the theatre?

I hope there's something that would make you happy.

Re: Do you buy Christmas presents for yourself?

Hi

The two littlies buy me presents, apart from that, I get none.

I buy myself something, this year it will probably be a new coral for my aquarium.
