Yes I like birds, especially birds of prey but never seen the fascination in twitching.

A couple of days ago gasman went with his wife and friends for a day out bird watching, walking and dinner.

It must be my age, I was quite interested so got some of my Grandad's old ornyt, ornatho...... Bird identification books out.

I may well become a convert.
You know it makes sense mate. Fresh air, good photo opportunities and a chance to learn

Pleease note the nail biting chap, hence the name twitcher, nervous in case he dips. (does not see the bird).



And the object of their desire is Humes leaf warbler, otherwise known as a LBJ (Little Brown Job) only prober birders can sort these

Mainly East Coast in September October on the back of Easterly winds, they are actually a good sign of migrants arriving on the coast.
