Nice..............and funny.........but doesn't ring true. I was a teenager in the sixties and that's now how it was then. Maybe the 1860s would be closer to the mark.

I was married in 1965 and I am the opposite of a dominant husband but my wife always got into bed first, not to warm the bed up for me but to get the best side and grab all the bedclothes, then rapidly fall asleep before I even got my socks off never mind anything else.

Just been reading that article, and I doubt any women dressed like that in the 1860s as it looks like the dress of the 1930s or 40s but, whoever wrote it, was probably an old person in lah-lah land about the young women of the 1960s and who hadn't moved with the times.

My mum was married in 1947 and she'd have laughed her socks off at that article.
