Re: Another move towards the end of cash?
Not too sure how i feel about this....I use my mobile to pay rather than my card (or cash) sometimes as it's a much safer option, saves my carrying my purse with my actual bank cards in, especially in packed places like here in London.Re: Another move towards the end of cash?
There was a discussion about this on the radio the other day following an announcement from the Chancellor that 'cash is staying'.Re: Another move towards the end of cash?
It's probably just that the timing is wrong just now but I'm sure it will happen as future generations won't know any other way. It happened with wages paid into bank accounts, and it's happening with books where most young people prefer a kindle to a bookshelf. Buying music over the counter will be a thing of the past and actually walking round a shop to buy clothes or electricals will also become extinct as the younger generations turn into the older generations.Re: Another move towards the end of cash?
As the Human-Computer Interface (HCI) expands, and elimination of hard cash is one example of this, so the uses to which the link between a person and a data file on a server someplace will grow like Topsy.Re: Another move towards the end of cash?
Re: Another move towards the end of cash?
I hate self service tills, they never work properly when I go to them & the assistant has to come & fiddle with them. Making a mockery of a quicker check out. I never go to them now. I would rather queue & chat to a person.Re: Another move towards the end of cash?
Most of the younger generation cant wait for this crap toRe: Another move towards the end of cash?
