Apparently the security blokes did draw guns ?
And Lochte's mates were pretty prompt throwing him under the bus.

He's grovelled, been fined, may lose sponsorship, pilloried by half the planet.

Ah,but Gilly....what if pipe-smoking,or freestyle grunting as you get up off the sofa,become olympic sports,hmm? They'll be just entering the 'youthful' bracket for such sports. After all-I actually saw people playing olympic GOLF,for Heaven's sake! GOLF! WELL known for it's 3/1000th of a second close finishes,golf is!
