We got along well with our 4 children's in-laws. We didn't socialize with them out side of family gatherings, but had no problems with any of them. My wife, I and one of our daughter's father-in-law are the only ones left alive.

Our kids are in their late 50's so most of our family socializing today is with in-laws of our grandchildren.
