Re: What advice would you give youngsters?

My advice to youngsters would be to excel in their chosen professions, . . . there are not enough really dedicated people in this country, . . they're all in their jobs to get rich quick and to hell with professionalism IMO.

1. Don't hurt yourself

2. If you possibly can, without conflicting with Rule 1, do not hurt people who love you

3. In as much as it is possible, try not to hurt others

I would tell them to enjoy life whilst they 'Know it all', because later on they will find out that they did'nt.

Well I was going to just say 'enjoy yourself' because within the blink of an eye you will be older yourself.

And as others have said, respect all round.

Now that is definitely true. Too many youngsters today think they are going to win x-factor or some such televisual rubbish.

My advice would be never be tempted to smoke, I think these youngsters should be given a reality check and to actually see people struggling for each breath due to smoking.

My friend recently passed away due to smoking and should have had longer with us.

Sorry about the loss of your friend. Unfortunately kids won't listen and shock tactics like this probably wouldn't work because kids think they are immortal. I know I did, but managed to kick the habit a number of years ago.

My auntie smokes like a trooper, can barely breathe but still needs the fix that is killing her. If it wasn't so tragic, it would be laughable. We need to find a way to protect our society against this very addictive, legal drug.

Re: What advice would you give youngsters?

I would advise that they live each day as if it were their last remember this is not a rehersal but the real thing. Never be afraid to be honest and admit that you love someone or that you might be wrong. Never go to bed angry and always make time to spend with their children as they grow up so fast. Most of all when you lay down to die make sure you regret none of the things you have done only the things that you haven't had time to do.
