That's the kind of thing that happens to me, although your particular case would have left me slightly worried - especially when the car broke down. Seems like the setting of one of those horror films!!

Thank God for cell phones. 15 years ago I might of had to walk for help in the dark..

Very true. I remember back in the early 1980s I was driving home from Tomintoul (a rural village) at about 2AM in my Ford Cortina and the bloody thing just died. Lights, engine, everything.

Oddly enough, after walking two miles back to Tomintoul to get to a phone box and call the AA, they turned the key and it came back to life.

I took it into the Ford garage the following day demanding they find the fault (it was less than 2 years old) but apparently there was nothing wrong and it never did it again.

Weird!!

Very interesting Rudy, I think you may have stumbled into Harley Quin, Agatha Christie’s favourite character of all her writings, he pops up everywhere, points out future problems making one aware of them so as to solve them when the occur. Lots of wonderful encounters in her book “The Mysterious Mr. Quin” A great read for lovers of the weird and unusual.

Sounds like an interest book. I enjoy a mystety firvsure. My favorite has always been Sherlock Holmes
