Don't know Mups With younger people who have not been together very long maybe it is to do with 'familiarity breeding contempt' or as with a much anticipated 'purchase' once obtained they don't always live up to expectations leading to feelings of disappointment.

Mmm, I'm inclined to agree on both points Meg, and it's a shame after all the expectations.

On the other hand I have known of couples who have lived together for years only to break up relatively quickly after getting married.

Probably not statistically significant but marriage does seem to change things

Yes Derek, in fact nothing short of a miracle as he's probably about 150 now.
