Re: New clothes

As I rarely have any need to dress up, I have no difficulty acquiring the T shirts, trousers and fleeces, which are my daily attire.

I do have difficulty finding shoes which are comfortable though. I inherited from my father little toes which turn under. This is particularly painful on my left foot as I have a bunion these days too. I am wondering if I could have the little toes, or at least the left one, amputated?

The over 50 clothing is very misleading Julie. I'd urge you to have a peak. I'm always getting complimented on what I've bought and worn. Some are more fashionable than most well known stores.

Re: New clothes

We do not have any 'smart' shops here any more. They are all cheap chain stores BHS, M&S, Debenham's etc., and their quality is pathetic. When I need something special I make it myself.

Next and River Island. I do not dress you, but neither do I dress like a little old man. I think anyone who has met me, would say I dress age apparent. I like older women to dress smart casual. Nothing wrong with charity shops, I hear you can get a real bargain. I flicked through 50 plus on line. Some really nice gear on there. But everyone to their own lol. ......H

Amputated? Geez. Bit drastic my little toes turn under and get sore. I've bought royal blue suede wedges today to match a royal blue top i have for my Christmas night out at work. I'll be hobbling by the end of the night! Lovely feminine looking shoes so I'll put up and shut up

Re: New clothes

I live close to Manchester City centre, so have a wealth of outlets to choose from. I buy from lots of stores. No problem choosing as I like modern clothes. Not teenage attire I might add.

Re: New clothes

I'm lucky - I only live a few miles away from the East Midland Designer Outlet. I get lots of my clothes from there.
Nearby we also have Matalan - Bon Marche - Dorothy Perkins -Peacocks - Sainsburys, Asda & Tesco - all with a decent clothing section.

I can't remember the last time I went to the big city to clothes shop - there's just no need!

Re: New clothes

Mesco, we're going to visit our daughter in Sale next week and it would be nice to find a 'wealth of outlets'. Strangely though, when our daughter visits us, she likes to shop in Aberdeen because she thinks there is a better choice!
