Good morning all, bright and sunny here too after that wind and rain last night.Found a bin and watering can near the back gate and another enormous piece of bark from the crack willow (2' x 3') on the lawn, with another larger piece balanced ready to fall
My washing is about to go out - bit of a late start for me today.
Kitchen floor washed too Meg - snap!
I can't believe it's Friday again! Another week flown by.
Just got a delivery of hanging basket liner on a roll, so will be doing my winter pansies later today (probably)

My niece lived withher partner for ten years, after the second year she wanted to get married and he didn't, after ten years he decided they should get married so he proposed, and she turned him down 
Subsequently they split up - In a roundabout way I think I can see her point of view, still it made me think like you 'Todays partnerships are different'

what a difference to yesterday's storms, floods and gale force winds .... the sun is shining! Not for long I fear, we are supposed to be back to the heavy storms again tomorrow Caught up on a lot of jobs this morning, shopping done, washing on the line, cleaning done ...... just a chicken curry to prepare for later.

I have to say Alan I'm a bit old fashioned in the way that if you love somebody and want to spend your life with them then you should get Married.I'm not saying your daughter's relationship is any less than a traditional marriage but for me it wouldn't work.
I married my wife when we were both 17 in 1969 and 43 years later we're still together. If we'd lived "separate" lives then I don't think we would be because whenever we have a disagreement since we live in the same house we have to get over it, if we lived in separate houses then it would be easy to not forgive each other since we'd be apart.
My daughter got married to her Husband in 2008 after only a matter of months of "going out" (I believe they call it these days) and I won't say I was pleased at the time but I now know that it was the right decision as they are both very happy with two children.
Anyway, enough of that.
Had another pure crap night's sleep last night. Got off at about 3 and awoke at 5.
If I had a fuel gauge the needle would have dropped off the scale by now but I just cannot sleep.
Listening to a bit of Elvis and waiting for the microwave pinging to tell me my curry is ready then I'll crack open a Coca-Cola and enjoy that.
