No, it is not easy to walk away. For me, it was the most saddest, devastating time of my life. I never stopped crying for ages.

To have stayed, enduring more unhappiness and irretrievable differences would have been far worse for both of us.

In fact, at the time, many people admired me and said l was very brave.

I suppose it’s the way you look at the situation?


I had heard of ‘do it yourself’ divorces but l am not sure if they were done online?

My first husband and I did a DIY divorce - from memory, think it cost either £9 or £12- that was about 40 yrs ago.
