Good morning all
it's a damp and dreary day and I noticed all the leaves have now fallen off my acer and cherry tree, so I must get the hard broom out and sweep everything up. I'm always wary of wet leaves at this time of the year, it's so easy to slip on them and hurt yourself.My daughter and grandchildren have just left after a short visit, they are off to Devon on Friday for three days. We'll be taking Mia, their cat, to the Cattery tomorrow so they can get on with their packing.
Alan, sorry to hear you had to cut your trip short due to the weather, such a shame as that area can be quite beautiful at this time of the year.
Rosemary, so sorry to hear about Loki, it must be so worrying for you

Dull and dreich start and a wee bit windy so far.Loki took two fits last night just at her tablet time - 10 pm. Thank goodness she only had two. Fingers crossed that's her for another while. At the moment, she is wanderig around and wanting to play!! Of course, I never slept, dozed for about half an hour but kept my "ears" listening to her - she was lying on the bathroom floor. I hate those fits but, thank heavens, they are not like the clusters she used to take when it would be 39 in two days!!

Sorry to hear that, our cat hasn't been keeping well in the last year and had to have an operation recently to remove a tumor. She's 18 years old today and despite her combined age and recent ill-health she's happily wedged in between my leg and the arm of the chair sleeping just now.
Going to do something I haven't done in 15 years - open a bottle of Coca Cola!
I saw them in Tesco when I was out this morning and thought I'd buy them. I wonder if they still taste like they did back in '97?

Thank all of you for the 'welcome mat' ---so to speak. It makes one feel as though he/she/ is truly part of a congenial group. I hope all of you have a good day ......irregardless of whatever may arise. Got to go exercise.....treadmill, floor excercises, and other warm ups to get my day started. So long for now.

Good afternoon all, wet and dull again here. I thought I was finished with making Christmas stuff but one of my favourite nieces called today with some semi-precious topaz stones and asked me to do a necklace for her, she's a great girl, full of life and fun so how could I refuse her, so it's back out to the shed for me, retirement how are yeh.
Fingers crossed for Loki Rosemary, she'll be grand don't worry.

A lovely sunny day here, the temperature outside our local farmacia was reading 24C just before noon. I had a wander round the market, a coffee at a little German cafe, now home and I suppose I should get some jobs dealt with.I hope Loki is okay and stays that way. I am waiting for a phone call from our traumatology vet (who is currently away) with an appointment for Muffin. It's thought he has a luxatory patella problem and a possible broken ligament. Augustin, the vet we are waiting to see, specialises in such things and hopefully he'll be able to sort out poor little Muffin and his hoppity leg.
