It was the days before they insisted on safety glass in front doors.
He was a bus driver, going out for early shift at 4AM in the morning.
He was half asleep. It was dark. He tripped and stuck his hand through the door and ended up in theatre having glass picked out of his hand.

My little mid terrace house is snug . I have a gas fire and central heating so am warm , no draughts as double glazing . I so hate being cold .
