I think you are being a bit hard on Alan Price. I saw him numerous times at the Ricky Tick club in Windsor during the sixties, both with The Animals and later the Alan Price Set. He always gave a really good show. Georgy Fame and The Blue Flames were also regulars at the Ricky Tick, although they were a bit too "jazzy" for me at the time. Georgy's cover of Mose Allison's Parchment Farm always went down a storm though - great days for music!
