Re: Have you ever wondered about genes and personality traits?

As an aside, are you more conducive to your sons behaviour, than his fathers?

Re: Have you ever wondered about genes and personality traits?

My son is much more like his father than he is me, Spitty.

He looks just like his Dad did when he was younger.
As for temperament, his father and I were like chalk and cheese, and my son is like his dad, not me,even though I had more influence in his upbringing.

His dad and I are still friends to this day and as they have both got older, they are still very much alike.

His father was also very much like his father before him as well.

Maybe sometimes folks, for what ever reason, are compliant to a none relational gene pool, and, actually promote characteristics, that are not inherent in themselves.

I know I have certain characteristics of my maternal grandmother's family, even those I hardly knew. (Different from my parents, who had much more influence.) I wonder if they could be shown to be genetic?

Not physical characteristics.
