Re: Ok-bands what one saw

First concert I ever went to in the spring of 1972 at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium was Jethro Tull, with Captain Beefheart as the supporting act. Great show, still remember it well!

Aqualung and Thick as a Brick were two of my favourite albums at the time.

I still listen to Jethro Tull all the time - one of the most played bands in my i-pod. Never saw them live though. This is one of my all-time favourites

and this is another

Re: Ok-bands what one saw

I saw the Beatles in Exeter in 19hundred and agesago. I was about 11 and scared to death by all the screaming, pushing and shoving and wondered why I could only see these 4 dots on the horizon.

Mind you I did meet Jimmy Saville at a cinema in Bournemouth in 1980-ish. .... yeah OK I know .... sad eh?

Another biggy I just remembered. Pink Floyd Weston-super-Mare Winter Gardens summer 1968. One of the first gigs with David Gilmore repcing Sid Barrat. What's that wonderful word that has become so hackeyed recently?...Truly Awesome!

Did anyone seen Fleetwood Mac in their orginal 60s line-up. I always regretted missing them. I saw Peter Green recently with the "Splinter Group". He's still a minor diety in the eysof the faithful

Oh I almost forgot another lovely band...Lindisfarne, Torquay parvilion 1971 (I think).

I've really only seen Cliff and I've seen him about 7 times. I also saw him in "Time" Mart, twice. David Cassidy then took over from him when he gave it up. (I was a big Cliff fan ).
