Come on now folks we all hated Yoko because she split up the Beatles, we all loved Imagine, we all loved the idea of nothing to kill or die for and no religion to make wars. The Beatles were not our heroes after Yoko, we discovered they were ordinary blokes and success had gone to their heads. Paul was the worst. John Lennon was the special one to me, he had lots of beliefs that I believed too but he didn't do anything to stop war or racism. Me? I was never a Beatles fan, their songs were often totally incomprehensible drug fueled nonsense*, or dreary, or totally bland, I was a Stones fan, also a Jerry fan. I honestly think their initial popularity was based on their 'pretty boy' looks and the, then, outrageous long hair.* Lucy in the sky, Octopus's garden, Norwegian wood to name but three.
She was weird but right for that clip.
