You seem to be angry but I see no logic in being angry with those on here, who disagree with you, because we were not there to experience what made you angry.
I'm not angry, pet. But you might want to find a safe space.

In this case I was pretty much out the door when he said it. But I did advise that lad (as previously explained) when he knocked on my door intending to sell me something.

As I got out of my taxi the other day, summoning my best, most criminally scally phlegm hawking Scouse accent I said, "Cheers largh" twice - if that helps. (He was Asian, I can't even recall if he called me lad).

That almost sounds like a threat?
You don't like being called "Lad", what makes you think some of the ladies on here don't appreciate being called "girl" or "pet"..?

I live in Dorset & am in my mid fifties.
Working in a local Supermarket ,I often get called ' fella' ,is this an expression from elsewhere ?
I don't feel comfortable with being addressed as " Sunny Jim" which I'm not sure about...

Re: If You Were Referred to as "Lad"

Gravitas, you seem to think that everybody should agree with you on this thread, but most don't... and we are all entitled to have our own opinion.
You may be here just to stir trouble, but we have persuaded many people like that to go elsewhere, because the members of this forum come for discussion, not to try and wind people up.
You have boasted that you have been unfairly banned from many forums, but have you ever considered that it may be the way you approach a discussion that causes the ban?
You seem to be intelligent so I will suggest that, if you want to enjoy your time on this forum, you don't attempt to insult the people, who have different opinions, by using the same tactics that you are complaining about yourself!
If you are just an MCP, I would warn you that the ladies on here are strong, intelligent people, who don't tolerate MCP behavior.
