Re: Weight losses

Lol, I have lost the grand total of .6 of a pound this week. I suppose that at least it is off.

Onwards & downwards!

Re: Weight losses

If you think about it this is how you gained the weight I would guess. It didn't all appear in just one week-end. Just a few pounds here and a .6 there and here we are. Best of luck on your downward journey.

Now where did I put that piece of home-made banana cake, half dozen chocolate digestives and a large Snickers bar????

Re: Weight losses

I have lost 4lbs this week, but I have the incentive of not wanting to stay on medication cos I've just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes...ive just made a carrot cake

Re: Weight losses

Congrats to all you losers, I won't be posting this week, as I've not been able to excersize due the injuries caused in last Sundays fall.

Re: Weight losses

What can I say apart from no excuses. I have put .8lb back on.I am 9st 12lbs and going up and down like a see-saw or is it down and up in my case.I suppose I have had a few extra treats because of the nice weather and enjoying indulging al fresco. Keep up the good efforts all hopefully next week it's my turn to go down again.

Are you sure your scale is right, I don't trust those things they like to make you miserable. 8lbs seems a lot to put back on would that be in a week? Also you could have been retaining water we sometimes do in the warm weather.

Re: Weight losses

I did actually weigh myself this morning and was 90.2 kg, which is only about 0.5 kg (1 lb) up on last week.
Not as bad as I was expecting.

My husband has been diagnosed for four years now and at first we did well and he thought he could go meds free. However, we were doing the Atkins diet and he was eating no sugar but all the protien wasn't good for his kidneys. H manages quite well now and the doctors change his meds from time to time.. Are you on metformin?

Hope you are on the mend Rockrider and like you say that's not bad. Under the circumstances that is acceptable.

OMG Cookiecatie I would throw the scales in the bin if they said I had put 8lbs on in a week. I put a decimal point in front of 8lb (.8lb) That's approx. 3/4 of a pound. It's still not going the right way though so bigger effort needed from me.It is said that warm summer weather helps cut down the calories but not for me. As I enjoy eating al fresco with nice extras like desserts and ice cream plus more wine or cool beers
