Hot Saturday

Good morning folk

Another lovely day here with the temperature at 18 degrees now so it could get hot later.Walking the fields this morning we saw two Buzzards fighting, and a smalll dead rabbit by the lane, I guess, like humans, they could not share their spoils.

Plans for today are a short walk round Rydal Water with lunch at some local and an afternoon of relaxing in the garden with Napoleon or Mr Hennessy and a book.

Eileen, I hope the move went OK and you are now settling in.

Have a great day and enjoy it.

Re: Hot Saturday

Morning all sounds as though AB is in for a relaxing day..
Eileen I hope you are settling in to your new home, I guess you are pretty busy unpacking..

A lovely day here and I am appreciative of the beautiful sunny weather but oh we do need some rain. The weather seems to have forgotten about moderation over the last couple of years, it seems to be months of wet or cold or dry instead of our usual moderate climate.

I am off to water the runner beans, I have just enough small ones for a meal this evening and shall look forward to that all day. Simple pleasures matter most these days..

Re: Hot Saturday

Good morning all. Nice day here, a few threatening clouds but no rain as yet. I must be great to get up on a Summers morning and go for a stroll with all that wild life about, us poor townies are stuck with concrete surroundings and traffic. God some people have all the luck.
Enjoy the weekend Folks.

Good afternoon all

Warm, dry and overcast here, good for pottering in the garden. Bought a new Sky controller from Argos this morning as the other one was getting slightly temperamental and not doing what it should. Normal service has now been resumed now so hubby is pleased!

Have a good weekend everyone!

Re: Hot Saturday

Hi everyone, really late today as I've ben laid low with a recurrent chest infection, so apart from a few minutes here and there I've been confined to bed.... how unjust is that, with this glorious weather......

Try to enjoy the rest of your day...

I'm sorry you are not too well Barry - what you need (if Mrs Plantman agrees) is a couple of NHS nurses to come round and rub your chest for you. Hope you are soon fit and well.

Re: Hot Saturday

Another day of sun with temps in low 30's.

Took Barney-Woooo for his constitutional along the river, then a day of nada, too hot.

Just done some interval training and fat burning on the treadmill.

Re: Hot Saturday

Sorry to hear you're not well Barry, and hope you soon improve.

Lovely warm and sunny day today. Walking this morning then off to supermarket for big shop. This afternoon was spent sorting out garden, or should I say jungle!!! Couldn't believe how overgrown it looked when I came back. Looks something like now, but gave in after couple of hours, as it became too hot in the sun to carry on-that's my excuse anyway!!

Re: Hot Saturday

Well, got moved yesterday, exhausted, all the furniture in and most of the bags and boxes unpacked. Trouble getting the new Mac connected; Chris had to walk thru it with an online tech, but finally up and running after 4 this afternoon; couldn't transfer data from the old one so having to start at square one with bookmarks, passwords, etc, bah!!! Am getting used to the new computer, not real crazy about it, screen is awfully large and a wireless keyboard and mouse feel strange; will get used to it I suppose. The apartment is lovely; will take some pics; need to work on here getting back all bookmarks, etc, so will be quieter than normal for a bit.

Merz, glad you're back, how was thw holiday? Barry, hope you're feeling better soon!
